This species is a hairy, perennial and herbaceous plant, 20-150 cm high. The leaves are simple, petiolate and have toothed edges. The flowers are two-lipped, white, yellowish or reddish in color. It is abundant in the outer parts of Anatolia and the Mediterranean Region. It has a lemon-like odor and a spicy flavor.
